To breed, you must have a partner of the opposite gender for your dog and be married to him (actually you have to be at the level "loved one" of intimacy). To finish, your dog needs to be level 25.


Note 1: you will find the process to get married in this part: Interaction between pets & Friendship.
Note 2: one of the two partners at least must have the full version, in order to increase the friendship level between the pets until it reaches the "loved one" level. 

Note 3: your dog can only give birth to 1 or 2 puppies at the same time.

1) Pregnancy proposal

You have two types of proposal:

• Neighbour chooses first: if only 1 puppy is born, your neighbour will have it. If there are 2 puppies, your neighbour will choose his puppy first.
• You choose first: if only 1 puppy is born, you will have it. If there are 2 puppies, you will choose your puppy first.

Once you have enter a choice, a message will be sent to your partner:

If you partner accepts the proposal and the method of sharing, you will both receive this message back: 

Now you are able to get your dog pregnant!

2) Get your dog pregnant

Go to your partner house, click on the interaction icon, then on the intimate activities (pink icons) and choose the last one (the heart one).

Note: you need to have at least 10 energy points left to do the pregnancy act.

A purple-pink screen will appear with an heart in the middle. To get your dog pregnant, you have to click in the heart icon several times to load the progress. Be carefull to not let the yellow bar decrease or your attempt to get pregnant will fail! 

Note 1: it seems that you will have better chance to make puppies if both of male and female dogs are in full health (all character values full).

Note 2: you have 10% of luck to get your puppy pregnant, but you can increase this percentage by spending bones: your luck increases by 4% every 5 bones you use.

Note 3: you can attempt to get your dog pregnant only 5 times per day, and need to wait 120 minutes between each try.

If you finally manage to get your dog pregnant, you will receive this message.

3) Help your dog to give birth

1) How to have your puppies

Once the female dog is pregnant, a bar of pregnancy progress will appear above her head. This bar will start to be filled in green. It usually takes between 3 and 4 days to have puppies. Be carefull to often look after the female dog, because if her character values are all empty during a certain amount of time, the pregnancy progress will take more time.

Once the bar is filled, the icon above her head will change: click on it to help your dog to give birth.

Note: you can both click on it, either the male's owner or the female's owner.

After clicking, a message will appear with how many puppies you have (1 or 2). The choice of puppy will be for the person you select during the pregnancy proposal.

2) Pure breed and not pure breed

If the male and the female dogs are the same breed, they will give birth to pure breed puppies.

Example: Male Alaskan Malamute + Female Alaskan Malamute = Puppies Alaskan Malamute 100%

However, if the male and the female are different breed, they will give birth to not pure breed puppies. These puppies will have physical characteristics from both their parents. Here are some pictures for examples:

Dalmatian + Golden Retriever

4) Law "Community Dog Control"

Unfortunately, you can only keep two dogs in your house. If you give birth to a third puppy, the town council will come to collect one of your puppies after 3 days. You can rehome one of your pet by finding an adopter during the 3 days left. 

Note: your main dog (actually the one you start the game with) can't be collected by the town council. Only baby dogs resulting from breeding and adoption can be collected.
